Faces ABA Behavioral Services
Small Steps to Big Breakthroughs
We provide compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based behavioral services that help individuals and families turn everyday moments into meaningful progress.
About Our Program
Welcome to Faces ABA Behavioral Services! Faces Behavioral Services (Faces) was founded in 1995 to empower children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and to help their families to thrive! Faces ABA provides services to families living in the South Bay area.
Our San Jose clinic is open to families or caregivers seeking support from a dedicated team of professionals. Occasionally, we offer 1:1 support in homes and within the community (daycare, after-school programs, and scheduled play dates). Our services are available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM. Faces provides therapy for children ages 18 months to 13 years utilizing applied behavior analysis (ABA).
ABA is the application of the science of behavior, using evidence-based techniques to promote meaningful and positive behavior change. As part of our mission to empower families and provide the best care, our team promotes collaboration and participation from caregivers. Our team is here to guide and support your family and child through every step of navigating services and achieving goals!

What Sets Faces Apart
Faces is a small, close-knit group, working together closely to provide a supportive and collaborative environment for your child and your family. This means our clients are surrounded by a community of professionals cheering on successes and providing encouragement.

At Faces, we believe learning begins when a child feels happy, relaxed, and engaged (Hanley, 2018)—and that’s our top priority. Through assent-based care, we honor each child’s comfort and choice, ensuring they feel safe, respected, and engaged in therapy. Our trauma-informed approach creates a nurturing environment that prioritizes emotional well-being and security. Our commitment extends beyond just therapy—we’re here to inspire your child and support caregivers every step of the way, with a whole team rooting for your success.
About ABA
ABA therapy (Applied Behavior Analysis) is a science-based approach that helps children develop essential skills for communication, social interaction, and independence. It focuses on understanding behavior and using positive reinforcement to encourage meaningful progress. At Faces, our ABA therapy is individualized to each child’s needs, ensuring they receive personalized support in a fun, engaging environment.
Our highly trained team works on skills like language development, play, social interactions, and daily routines while reducing unsafe and/or disruptive behaviors in a compassionate, supportive way. We emphasize assent-based and trauma-informed care, ensuring that children feel safe, respected, and actively involved in their learning. Caregiver collaboration is a key part of our approach, helping families and professionals work together to create consistency across home, school, and therapy settings.
Whether in the clinic, home, or community, our goal is to empower each child with the tools they need to thrive. Through structured learning and play, we help children build confidence, independence, and meaningful connections with the world around them.
Client Satisfaction

“This is no exaggeration, Faces ABA has transformed our lives and we couldn’t be more grateful. Before joining Faces our child struggled with severe behavioral challenges that deeply affected our entire family. However the compassionate team of experts at Faces ABA worked closely with us to create a personalized plan addressing his communication and behavioral needs. Faces’ ABA impact reaches beyond our so they have supported our whole family. As parents we received invaluable tools to help us navigate the challenges our son may face at home and in the community. Watching his communication skills blossom has been nothing short of miraculous. The progress he’s made since starting at Faces ABA is beyond what we ever imagined. While we still have a journey ahead we now feel more confident and prepared for whatever challenges the future may bring.” – Faces Family, February 2025
“We have genuinely found a team through Faces. Their sincere interest in supporting our family has made all the difference, as we work together to build the best life for our child. I am so grateful to have such amazing staff in our child’s corner; I feel like we can take on the world.” – Faces Family, April 2025
Starting ABA With Faces
Starting ABA services at Faces is a structured process designed for a smooth transition. It begins with submitting an inquiry form, followed by a caregiver orientation and assessments to create an individualized treatment plan. Once insurance approval is secured, therapy sessions begin, ensuring your child receives the support they need with ongoing caregiver collaboration.

Faces prides itself on delivering high quality services, and a high quality of life for its employees. Faces is a small agency as a department of PACE. About Caregiver Collaboration
At Faces, caregiver collaboration is a required and essential part of our ABA services. We believe that progress happens when everyone involved in a child’s life works together, ensuring consistency and support across all environments. This collaboration includes caregivers, parents, family members, school teams, speech-language pathologists (SLPs), occupational therapists (OTs), physical therapists (PTs), feeding therapists, medical professionals, and any other key providers in a child’s care.
Assessments

At Faces, assessments are conducted every 6-12 months. Your child’s goals are determined in an Individualized Treatment Plan and/or an existing Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Faces use evidence-based developmental assessments (VB-MAPP, Vineland III, AFLS, ABLLS-R), Functional Behavior Assessments, caregiver collaboration, child input and session data to inform programming decisions. The primary goal of this program is to maximize children’s quality of life through increased autonomy and independence.
Clinical Support
At Faces, we prioritize a high rate of BCBA supervision of ABA sessions to ensure the highest quality therapy and effective collaboration. During supervision, BCBA oversees sessions, observes interactions, and ensures that treatment protocols are being implemented correctly and effectively. They continuously evaluate the client’s progress, assess ongoing needs, and make necessary adaptations to keep therapy individualized and responsive. Supervision also provides direct support to RBTs, reinforcing best practices and maintaining consistency in treatment. With frequent BCBA oversight, we ensure that every child receives the best possible care, backed by expert guidance and collaboration with caregivers and other professionals.
